Favorite Things

This afternoon, I was reading Riley a book and I guess it was the wrong one. She wiggled out of my lap and grabbed a book and put it in my lap. She has started to know what she likes/dislikes and wants/doesn't want and she makes sure that we know too. She'll shake her head and do this spitting thing if she doesn't want to eat that food and she shakes her body forward and back to nod when we guess a food that she would like. So, I thought that I would take pictures of a few of her favorite things. I thought of more categories, but maybe I'll do them another time.

Favorite New Toy: This Little People schoolbus makes some funny noises and she figured out right away that she should get on and ride it. She also figured out the secret compartment under the seat and loves the little kids laughing.

Favorite Love: Riley loves this Care Bear. She likes to snuggle with it at night and give it kisses in the morning. This bear used to have hair like a troll doll, but she picked/chewed it all off.

Favorite Book: The Skin You Live In. It actually has a really nice message. Maybe she likes it because she is half hispanic. Becca and I are both jealous of the skin she already has.

Favorite Temptation(s): The VCR. She stuck her whole hand up to her wrist in it last night. Looks like we need to get a cover. The plant. She likes grabbing the dirt and will do it faster the closer we get. Bernie's dog food. Same as the plant.

Favorite Food: Actually, she likes a lot of stuff, but I just chose 2 that she will always eat. She is starting to prefer finger foods and feeding herself, so it's harder to get rid of the seemingly endless stash of baby food that Becca has stockpiled when they were on sale.
