Riley's words

Riley says 4 words regularly, although 3 words are really close to each other. She says:
  • Daddy. Usually when she sees me for the first time in a while (mornings, after work, through the window when I'm mowing the lawn).
  • Doggie. She used to call Bernie B, but now she just calls all dogs doggie.
  • Ducky. She likes ducks. Ducks in her books, Rubber Ducky, 2 Ducks for Easter, Ducks on her pajamas.
  • Mama. Usually only when she is tired or hungry - more like mamamamama (in a whinyish voice).

Her voice is high and cute. Usually her D words are said with a high 1st syllabel and then the 2nd syllabel is about an octave lower. I always thought having a girl squealing would drive me nuts, but when she says, "daddy" in that high voice and acts excited to see me, it just makes me melt.
