Once we got there and set up camp, we headed to the river. They had a beach and the water was warm (it could have been a little cooler, but it was nice). Riley loved the water and whined when we got out. We were there until 7 and then went back to camp and cooked and ate dinner.

Riley decided to blow bubbles in the water. The problem is that she doesn't like her face in the water. Here is a sequence of her blowing bubbles, getting the water in her face, acting like she's drowning, and smiling (then repeated many times)..

This was the first time we have camped with Riley. We set up her pack & play and she went down ok (we forgot her favorite blanket, so it took her a little while longer). When we went to bed, we made a little too much noise and she woke up and stood up and wanted out because she thought it was playtime. She did not want to go back in her pack & play either, so she ended up crawling around the tent and cuddling up with my pillow. I think that she probably slept on every square foot of that tent sometime during the night. This is a picture of where she ended up, between our legs with her head burrowed into the corner of the tent. It was cute, but was a long night. Why does she move so much while she sleeps?

Today, we headed to Pedernales Falls. They are pretty cool, but what's most impressive about them is that in a flash flood, I would be probably 10' under water in this picture. It was fun to jump around the rocks and negotiate the maze of water chutes that let the water through. I also found some geocaches around the area. Overall, disregarding the heat, it was a good trip.

Haha, yeah, we thought about putting Landon in his pack and play but since it was so cold, he stayed in between us. It was a long night but not because Landon was moving around (he really couldn't since he was all bundled up) but it was sooooo cold! Maybe we'll go again when it's warmer and Landon will sleep in his pack and play this time.
