Enchanted Rock Camping

This weekend, we headed to Enchanted Rock State Natural Area. It's a huge granite batholith in hill country. In April, we reserved two camping spots for us and some friends at Enchanted Rock State Natural Area. It was a nice reprieve from getting our house ready to go on the market, getting a job, planning a house hunting trip, and all the other crazy life stuff. It was nice to camp, it was nice to spend time with friends, and it was nice to see more of Texas before we leave. The weather was perfect (highs in the upper 70's and lows in the mid 50's). Here is the "rock:

Riley had a great time running around and playing with the other kids in the group. She slept much better this time because we remembered her blankie. She rewarded us by staying in the pack and play the whole night. With a sequined headband and a belt with a rhinestone-heart buckle (hey, you try finding a decent-looking belt for a toddler), Riley was probably a little over-dressed for our hike, but she did get carried like a princess for most of it.
