We had a fun but low-key Fourth of July this year. We took a bike ride in the morning and then went to a neighbor's house for a pancake breakfast and bike parade for the kiddos.
The whole family took naps after lunch. Scot smoked up some of his infamous ribs and we had a festive and delicious dinner.
Since we had church at 8:30 the next morning, we decided to skip the local fireworks displays. Instead we watched the televised version of the concert and fireworks on The Mall in D.C. As usual, Riley loved the singing and danced along to the choreographed moves of the performers.

Is she getting really tall or is it just that she has no body fat on her that makes her look that way? She just looks so tall and lean! What a great dancer!
Does "tall and lean" equal scrawny with chicken legs? If so, she's just like her mother. Haha.
I'm glad she took off her shorts to show off that diaper-free bum. Good for her for wearing big girl panties.
Farrah, she is taller than average, but the skinny definitely accentuates her height.
And Jess, in answer to your "scrawny" label, those shorts we made her put on toward the end of the video are Asher's. 3-6 months. So we really can't argue with you.
I love how her pants are always coming on/off in these videos! that's hilarious that they are Ashern's shorts! what a cutie! Her hair is getting so long, I love it!
Ella was the same way, she could wear shorts like after she should have been able to because of her skinny waist. She's so adorable. And since I was at the DC fireworks, it's like we were watching them together!
