I have a lot of updates to add to this blog, but for now, here is one we got in the mail today:

Case Type: Petition to Classify Orphan as an Immediate Relative
To process your application, the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services must capture your biometrics at the Application Support Center in Aurora, Colorado.
Doesn't that sound so technical? I read that as:
Because there is no branch or division of our government, national or local, that is able to share a set of fingerprints with another branch, you must drive over an hour each way to be fingerprinted, again, on a Tuesday afternoon.
Oh, and in fine print at the bottom of the notice:
"Due to limited seating availability in our lobby area, only persons who are necessary to assist with transportation or completing the biometrics worksheet should accompany you."
Or in other words:
Find a babysitter, in the middle of the day, for your two kids.
But the good thing is that the processing of our adoption is moving along smoothly, and as anticipated. No updates from the agency in Korea, though. We hope to get new photos of our baby boy at the end of this month or next.

What a pain! You didn't tell me you had to go to Aurora for fingerprints. You can always leave the kids with me if you want. Then you can go to World Market on your way home. :)
It's a good thing you've had experience with that process and understand the legal jargin. I wouldn't have known that's what they were asking.
