We headed up to Orlando the day after the wedding to enjoy a couple of days at Disney World. We arrived at the resort mid-afternoon, so after dropping our things off at the hotel we headed to Downtown Disney for some free entertainment.
We spent our first full day there at Animal Kingdom. At breakfast that morning we were able to meet Mickey and his crew. Riley was excited to give them all hugs, but Asher wasn't so sure, asking about each one of them, "Donald not bite me?" "Minnie not bite me?"
The kids enjoyed the rides and the animals. And as always, the fish were a big hit with Asher. I think we're going to have to get him a goldfish or a beta one of these days (when he's old enough to clean out the bowl himself).
We watched Mickey's Jungle Parade while we were there, and as with just about every other parade I've seen, it was somewhat overrated, and not necessarily worth waiting around in the heat for it to begin. But it's one of those things you've got to do while you're there, right?
Overall, it was a wonderful day, and I would definitely go to that park again.

The next day there was the big one: Magic Kingdom. And it did not disappoint!
In spite of the heat and missed naps, both kids were enchanted by the whole place.
Riley's excitement to meet the princesses even wore off on Asher. I think he developed a little crush on Cinderella during our photo op with her, Aurora and Belle.
We stayed for the fireworks, which was pushing it. Both kids fell asleep before we were past the exit gates.

We had an amazing two and a half days. The whole experience really exceeded my expectations, and both Scot and I are looking forward to doing it again in a few years.
