Radishes

Riley has helped me a lot in our garden this year. But I wanted her to do more than just help. I read that because they are so easy to grow, radishes are the perfect vegetable for kids to grow on their own. So I gave Riley a square in the garden and let her choose a packet of seeds.

She planted the seeds, thinned them and kept the square weeded and watered. And when it was time to harvest them, she was so excited! The part that surprised me was that she actually liked them when we added them to a salad the next night.
