Update on Tyson

We know that everyone is wondering if there is an update on Tyson. The update is pretty much that there is no update. The exit permission (emigration permit) has been submitted to the Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare. Approval has 'typically' been 2-4 weeks and it's been over 6 weeks now. There was an inflammatory article about international adoption in one of their papers there with some gross inaccuracies and the Ministry has been putting out fires on that front, but we don't know if the delay is related or not. After the EP is approved, it should take about a week for the passport to be prepared and another 2 weeks for the US embassy to grant his visa. We hope that everything happens as quickly as possible so we can bring him home.

Today, he is 18 months. It'll be a challenging transition for him and us, but we're excited for this next chapter in our lives.
