Children's Museum

We recently spent a Saturday morning exploring the children's museum. We took the kids to Discovery Gateway in Salt Lake City and year and a half ago, and that place set a pretty high bar. But the Children's Museum of Denver did not disappoint. Unfortunately, all the photos are from my iPod, so the quality isn't great.

The boys spent a lot of time making and learning about bubbles, while Scot and Riley made a catamaran out of used water bottles and other recyclable materials.

There was a great play area with slides and tunnels, that was made to look like a huge tree and its roots. In the same room there were stuffed animal birds that each made a realistic sound when you squeezed them. Riley had a great time finding as many different types of birds as she could, and comparing their calls.

Meanwhile, Asher and Tyson had a great time dressing up forest-creature costumes. Asher tried on a couple before heading over to play in the tree. But Tyson methodically had Scot dress him in a costume, walked over to me to get some attention (and to have his picture taken), then walked back to Scot and had him replace it with another costume. I think he tried on all but one of the costumes before he lost interest.
