After a whole lot of build-up (a teddy bear picnic with her classmates and teacher the previous week and math and reading assessments on Monday afternoon), Riley started kindergarten on Wednesday.
With the boys in the bike trailer, the whole family rode her to school that morning. Riley's favorite trick on her bike is to ride with her legs spread-eagle while her bike coasts. As we pedaled away from the house, she trailed behind the rest of us, feet near her handlebars, singing "First day of kindergarten!" at the top of her lungs.
She had a great day, in spite of the fact that "PE was NOT was I expected." Her teacher seems great, and Riley has come home with a smile on her face every day since.
