Children's Health Insurance

Please forgive me for a moment for going political in the blog. I'm asking all of you (and everyone you all know) to please urge Congress to reauthorize SCHIP before it expires on September 30! It will take just 3 minutes to help the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP). Congress needs to act now to renew the program. SCHIP is vital to the health of children in our community and across the nation because it provides health coverage to millions of children from low-income families. Scot and I have several close friends who have benefited, and continue to benefit from this program. The U.S. House of Representatives is currently scheduled to vote on legislation to reauthorize SCHIP this Tuesday, September 25, and the U.S. Senate will likely vote later this week.
