Aebelskivers

In my house, we had waffles for dinner on Christmas eve. Becca's family sometimes makes a Danish food called Æbelskivers ("apple""slivers?"). We decided that since Æbelskivers basically use a buttermilk waffle mix, we would add this cultural aspect to our Christmas traditions. In the US, sometimes, they are marketed as "pancake puffs".
