Spring Day

When I came home, I couldn't figure out where Becca and Riley were (since the car was here). Then I heard them outside. Becca had set up the camp chairs (we just found one for Riley).

Riley likes going outside now and play. She likes seeing the birds and expanding her territory. When I came inside to get the camera, she started crying and saying "daddy! dadadada." She also has started getting upset when I leave in the morning.

When Becca was in Utah, we got on the webcams a few times. Riley was happy to see me on the screen. The next day, when she was in the same room, she pointed to the screen and said, "daddy!" On the way home, Becca called me from the airport and she put Riley on the phone and when I said, "Hi Riley", she replied, "daddy!" Then I could hear her in the background just repeating it over and over.

She also calls me in the morning when she wakes up. So, I usually wake up to her calling me. Not a bad way to wake up (I stopped using an alarm clock on weekdays since her birth). Lately, when I come in, she is pointing at a picture across the room of me with her when she was just a few days old.

Anyway, you get the point. She knows my name and likes to say it and I have absolutely no problem with it. Now if we could just get her to say, "mama" when she's happy (she usually only says it when she is whiny).
