Practicing for Brothers

While we were in Fort Collins, Riley stayed with our good friends, Jeff & Brenna Bird. They have two boys, Jackson and James. James is about her age and Jackson is 4, I think. Riley likes both of them and says their names all the time. Brenna was nice enough to give us updates via email. Here's an excerpt of one:

Yesterday Riley had some lessons in playing with boys and with boy toys... We had to teach her that the car ramp isn't a slide (see below), to not clean up the train tracks that Jackson and James are playing with and how to dance like a boy (running and jumping around the house!).

Riley seemed to have had a good time. We asked her if she had fun and she said, "Jeff. Nice." I think she was happy to be home with her toys, but she also seemed to miss being around other kids all the time.

Okay, it cracks me up that your kid is going around cleaning up as playing. So super cute.
