In other news, his umbilical stump fell off a couple of days ago. When I told Riley that Asher finally has a belly button, she started clapping. I think she has been concerned about it. This theory was supported on Sunday when she approached a boy in church who was just a little younger than she. She stood in front of him and looked at him for a second, then reached out for his shirt, pulled it up, and pointed out his belly button. Maybe she thought that withered little cord was just a boy thing.

Worn Out
I think this photo of Asher and his Grandma is a good representation of how we're all feeling. Although in this instance, Riley was probably more to blame for Grandma's exhaustion than was her brother.
Still no word from the state about our approval to head home. In the meantime, we've found a great doctor here, thanks to a recommendation from my cousin Tiffany. Asher's two-week appointment is tomorrow and I'm curious to see how much he has grown. He seems quite a bit bigger to me, but that may just be because I've gotten used to how small he is.

I hope you guys get to go home soon! I think the hardest time was around 4 weeks but after that, it has just continually gotten better. Of course, if I could actually fall asleep when I went to bed, I'd be doing Really good!! Did anyone ever ask you if you saved the fallen off stump? And if you did save it, well, I won't say anything else! :) I hope you're getting at least a little sleep since you have help! It'll be so nice to get home.
We can't wait for you to be able to go home! Yeah, for me it was the first 6 weeks...I'm glad you have some help! But, then again, before long your kids are in school and you're like, whaaaaaat? Weren't they babies like yesterday? (Easier said then felt that first few years!) :)
I didn't post my Congratulations earlier but I did do a little dance for you at our computer! Asher is one handsome chap! We hope you bet to take him home soon. You are all in our prayers!
You have a smarty pants on your hand! You are more than welcome to drop Riley off for a play date with Cash anytime!!!
