This Kid Has Class

Riley has had a great time in "preschool" this year. She made a lot of friends and there are a couple in particular that she talks about a lot. Her friend Maya probably tops that list, with her twin brother, "Boy Riley," coming in a close second. There were several days in a row that she pretended that she was Maya and Asher was Boy Riley. She would remind me over and over, "Mom, I'm Maya." And she wouldn't respond to me unless I addressed her that way.

She also talked a lot recently about Freddie. Nearly every day after preschool she would tell me that she sat by Freddie, or she played with Freddie, or "Freddie is so nice" or "I just like Freddie SO much!" You get the idea. I'm just glad she likes the boy for a good reason, and not just because he runs fast, or his mom sent a good snack for the class. My fingers are crossed that she continues to go for the nice boys for the next twenty or so years.

In addition to making friends, Riley has had a lot of fun making crafts. She is always so excited to show them to me when I pick her up. Here are a couple of my favorites.
