Neighborhood Park

We are so lucky to have a neighborhood park just a few blocks away from our house. It's the perfect distance to walk to, as long as we go in the morning, before it gets too warm.

Riley is now an expert on her tricycle and her scooter, so she rides one of those, while I push Asher in the stroller.

It isn't a large park, and maybe my kids will get bored of it when they're a little older. But for now it has everything they need for a little outdoor entertainment.

Riley and Asher both love the swings,

Asher entertains himself by climbing all over the play structure,

and Riley started a restaurant that serves hot dogs and french fries that look a lot like wood chips.

Glad to know your kids are doing something other than bowling... ;) we had the same set up in MD and loved it!!! Now we just have a huge backyard with a play set we built ourselves that doesn't get played on nearly enough...

I can't decide what my favorite part of that first picture is, the 3 bows or the sunglasses...

The beauty is that you don't have to choose. And three pink bows on one little head is what happens when you let a three-year-old designs her own 'do.

Well, everyone knows the more bows, the better the hair do!

I'm wondering if these pictures are taken recently, especially the one of Asher in the stroller, because it looks like you are dressed for winter. Is Colorado the only state not hit with extreme heat right now?
And I love the post about Riley being beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. It's one of the most important things we can teach our little ones, especially our daughters!

Yes, you are lucky! I often lament to Tim that we can't walk ANYWHERE from our house. As such, we're forced into car-dependency.

Next time, we're moving to a more walkable community!
