Time Out Together

Do you cringe a little when you find yourself doing or saying things your parents did when you were young? Especially things you hated when you were young? I do, every time. But I still repeat my parent's methods on a fairly regular basis.

Like earlier this week when Riley and Asher were fighting with each other. I put them in a time out together for the first time. My Dad would have made them put their arms around each other. (My sisters and I HATED that.) But because of the height difference between my two kids, I made them hold hands instead. They were giggling with each other in no time.
