Halloween

The snow melted in time for Halloween and another storm held off until a day later, so the night was actually pretty nice.

Becca made the parts for Riley's costume - a pig. You can't see her cute little curly tail.

Asher borrowed his costume from his friend, Gunner. We couldn't call it a costume, but rather, had to call it a dress-up because he insisted he would not wear a costume. A few days later, Asher was playing with this same friend and Gunner's mom told him that Asher had borrowed his doctor costume. Gunner told her that he didn't want Asher to borrow it because he'd ruin it. When she told him that he had already worn it and returned it in good condition, he exclaimed, "Good job, Asher!"

Riley totally got it this year and we had to tell her at nearly every house to wait up for her brother. Asher was just excited to get candy. He preferred the chocolate candy. We're going to have to watch him when he gets older - he loves chips, candy, and any junk food. Riley, on the other hand, will eat half a cookie, then put it down and tell us she is done with it. She has chosen fruit (and sometimes vegetables) over sweets before, although she does like candy.
