Mudroom

The past few days, I've been working on my most ambitious project yet - converting the closet next to our garage door into a bench and storage area. This creates a pseudo mudroom area to put on/take off shoes, jackets, and store backpacks, purses, and such. We have another closet to the left of these were we hang coats, store more shoes, the vacuum, etc., so we felt we didn't need the redundancy. 

I drew up the design with some guidance of some of Becca's pinned posts (if you pin it and don't use it, should it really be pinned at all?). So, after tearing everything out, painting, measuring, cutting, fastening, spackling, caulking, sanding, and touching up, I think it turned out great.
