After our long hike on Tyson's birthday, the kids all took a good nap when we got home. That gave me plenty of time to decorate his birthday cake, which I was really excited to surprise him with.
He'd seen enough birthday celebrations in our family in the months leading up to his, that he knew the drill and was very excited for it. The day before his birthday, Riley and I were helping him practice blowing out his candles. So he was a pro when that lighted cake was placed in front of him.
Happy third birthday, Tyson! Our family just wouldn't be the same without you!
