Family Fun

We are so blessed to have my sister and her family living just an hour away now. We recently spent a couple of days with them in their brand new home. They are lucky enough to be next door to the neighborhood playground. Riley and Brady spent a lot of time out there, climbing, sliding, pretending to be chased by an alligator, and who knows what else.
Like Riley, Brady also received a scooter for his third birthday, so they had a great time riding together in the big (and so far, relatively empty) garage.
In spite of their occasional fights, these two always love being together.
Jessica's family has a Friday Night Movie tradition, so she picked up Toy Story for the kids, since neither had seen it. As you can see, they were entranced.
I included this photo for a sense of proportion. The couch is pretty big, and no one else was on it. But these two sat right next to each other like this until we hussled them off to bed.
On Saturday we took the kids to the Denver Zoo. As always, my kids were most interested in the primates. Asher was particularly entertained by one playful gorilla. I was reminded of our trip to the Los Angeles Zoo when Riley was just about the same age Asher is now.
